About National Council

Alums helping bring new students to CU

CU-Boulder’s National Council program is a joint effort among the Office of Admission, University Communications, Office of Parent Relations, the CU Foundation and the Alumni Association to generate awareness of and goodwill for the University of Colorado at Boulder.
National Council events target prospective students, their parents, alumni and parents of current students in key out-of-state “feeder” markets.

The events coincide with the Fall Preview Programs offered by the Office of Admission.

Topics addressed by administrators, faculty, admissions representatives and alumni include admission requirements, academic programs, activities and student life, financial aid, residence hall options and student support services. Selected alumni have the opportunity to speak about what made CU special for them. Ample time is allowed for a Q&A at the conclusion of each event.
