Back to Boulder

Save the date for the first annual Back to Boulder Weekend Nov. 1-4, 2012.

Join us for Back to Boulder weekend

It’s time to get Flatiron fever and return to campus for three action-packed days during Back to Boulder Weekend Nov. 1 – 3, which is also Homecoming. In addition to the Buffs playing Stanford on Saturday, Nov. 3, we have tons of activities to make your weekend the best one of the fall

Haven’t been back to Boulder recently?  Find out why Boulder has been named “America’s Foodiest Town” and sample some of the 300 restaurants featuring local, regional and international cuisine. Then work off your meals by going on a hike in Chautauqua, strolling Pearl Street’s shops or taking a campus tour to rediscover old haunts and see new buildings.

Game day details

Our pregame, dubbed Ralphie’s Corral, is the place to be on game day. Fuel up with food, meet other Forever Buffs and celebrate your CU pride. From games for kids to seeing the marching band, it will start three hours before kickoff on Benson Field. Go to www.cualum.org/football for more details.

Top five things to do

  1. Celebrate CU-Boulder’s best by attending the Alumni Association’s Annual Awards Ceremony on Thursday evening at the Hotel Boulderado.
  2. Head for the hills and go for a hike along the Mesa Trail in Chautauqua on Friday morning before heading to The Sink for lunch and taking an afternoon campus tour.
  3. Buy CU gear at the CU Book Store and receive 20 percent off one regularly priced item with a CU logo. Print out your Forever Buffs ID card at www.foreverbuffslink.colorado.edu to get discount.
  4. Attend the Homecoming parade and the Stampede pep rally on Pearl Street Friday night during which football players meet with fans before the marching band strikes a chord and leads the crowd down Pearl Street.
  5. Put on your black and gold and cheer on the Buffs as they play Stanford on Saturday. Join us first at the best pregame on campus on Benson Field (see details above). Don’t forget to check out the towering Flatirons from Folsom Field, one of the best stadium views in the country.
