Welcome to the Memphis Buffs CU Alumni Chapter website!
If you are a CU Alumnus or Student and you consider Memphis home, I am happy to inform you of our alumni chapter to bring us all together. And thanks to Forever Buffs, you are automatically a member of the Memphis Buffs without any dues. We are a very active chapter hosting events throughout the year for both the sports fan and the non-sports fan. Come join us and meet locals that have at least CU-Boulder in common and maybe a whole lot more. Please let us know if you are in the area and are not receiving emails about the local events and we can get you in our system!!
I am very excited about our upcoming year. Not only are we bring in the new athletic season with a new conference, the PAC 12, and the football season with a new football staff, we are also moving our watch party location. Our new watch party location will be Brookhaven Pub, instead of East End Grill, which is where it was the last two years. From time to time, some of our gracious alumni wish to hold parties at their homes which have been a big hit.
Earlier in the year I was able to hold a fundraiser with the Memphis Grizzlies and Chauncey Billups to raise money for Memphis-area student scholarships to CU, and it ended up to be a big success for us. I plan to do similar fundraisers down the road to raise money for the same scholarship fund as well as for our chapter. The Grizzlies are already on board to help with another meet and greet autograph session for us with Chauncey and Alec Burks this coming year. I also plan to work with the Titans this year in order to have a fundraiser around Daniel Graham and Riar Geer. Ideally, we should have 3 to 4 fundraisers by next August!
