Walter Koelbel Sr. (Mktg’47) passes away

Walter Koelbel Sr. (Mktg’47), a Forever Buff who contributed his time, money and heart to CU, died during the holidays. After a $4 million gift toward the $38 million renovation and expansion of the Leeds School of Business, the building was named for his family.

University of Colorado Cross Country coach Mark Wetmore has been named the 2011 Pac-12 Men’s Coach of the Year, announced by the conference on Tuesday afternoon. CU also placed eight Buffs, four men and four women, on the All-Pac-12 First and Second Teams.

Because Boulder has had two snow storms of 8-plus inches in the past two weeks, we have to cancel our Ralphie’s Corral pregame party before the USC game this Friday, Nov. 4.
