The CU-Arizona football game this Saturday, Nov. 12, features a Student Veterans of America pregame party to honor all military, veterans and family members. It goes from 10 a.m. to noon on the south patio of the University Memorial Center. There will be a live band and door prizes. Pregame tickets $10; football game are also $10.

Former Buff player Emery Moorehead (Comm’77) also was at the reunion. The Bears didn’t go to the White House that year because of the space shuttle Challenger explosion.

Ralphie’s Corral pregame takes a snow day

Because Boulder has had two snow storms of 8-plus inches in the past two weeks, we have to cancel our Ralphie’s Corral pregame party before the USC game this Friday, Nov. 4. The Whitewave Kids Zone will still take place on the plaza located on the southeast side of Benson Earth Sciences building. We look forward to holding our pregame before the Nov. 12 game vs. Arizona.

Monarch of the Plains draws alums

Laurie Armstrong Bartholomew (Fin’83) wrote to us that her family moved back to Boulder three years ago, and as shown in the photo, they “have converted our children to Buff fans.” She says that her oldest son, Bradley Bartholomew, is a current CU student, a sophomore computer sciences major, and that “even our dog Baloo is a big Buff supporter!”
