Attend a special awards ceremonyThe annual Alumni Association Awards Ceremony is one of the longest standing traditions at CU, recognizing outstanding achievements and contributions by students, faculty, staff and alumni. 2010 award recipients will be recognized Wednesday, May 5 at 7 p.m. in Old Main Chapel with a reception following in the CU Heritage Center, 3rd floor of Old Main. Finally, a new practice facility at CoorsGround was broken on the new Coors Events Center practice facility in March and it is scheduled to open in August 2011. It will feature two basketball and/or volleyball courts, modern locker rooms, coaches’ offices and team meeting rooms for the women’s volleyball team. AthleticsBasketball coaches come and goLinda Lappe (Mktg’02), a former women’s basketball player at CU, is the new head coach, replacing Kathy McConnell-Miller.
